How to Post & Resize Pictures
Aug 15th, 2007, 10:05am

To post a single picture click on the "Browse" button below the text box (circled in yellow in the attached pic) that you type in to reply to a post. A window will open that will allow you to browse your hard drives and select the file you want to post.

To post multiple images you'll first need to put them on a host site such as photobucket. Then while typing up your post click on the third small icon from the left in the top row above the smileys (circled in red on the attached pic), it looks like a small picture. Insert the http address to the picture you want between the two tags (commands enclosed in square brackets) that appear. Repeat as desired for additional pictures.

Please limit your picture sizes to a max of 640x480 pixels.

Or just link externally. This saves everyone bandwidth and we can pick and choose what to view.

Unless the picture is sufficiently small, then it makes no difference.

Bandwidth is not the issue. Image size is.

If an image is larger than 640x480 it requires lots of scrolling on most peoples screens and is a PITA.

Or if you have a Mac, resize when you export from iPhoto (import first if you didn't already have it in iPhoto).

Or if you prefer offline editing for photos including cleanup, crop, resize, recolour etc. then this shareware program is great.  Smiley

Picasa3 can download the picture from your camera and then edit the photo, sharpen, crop etc. then export the image in whatever custom size you want, and its free

Tip for adding multiple photos: use Picassa v3 and with a few clicks you can create a collage as a single image. Then simply upload.

You can upload up too 5 individual pictures per post with no editing needed Mokka. Simply click on the + next to Attachments as shown in the attached photo until you've reached the necessary number of attachments. Smiley
