CoffeeSnobs FairCrack - July 2010 Pulpers
Jul 14th, 2010, 1:22am

Hey CoffeeSnobs!

FairCrack has just purchased 2 more pulpers for small farming villages on Southern Kilimanjaro.

Thanks to Bente and Ralph at Machare coffee for sourcing these again.  They will soon install and then show the farmers how to use them too.

At the moment the two pulpers are sitting at Machare Estate (pictures below) and as soon as I know more about the location and the villages that are getting these I'll post it up here.

This is just as exciting as the first pulper, and now our total donated pulper tally is six!

Huge congrats and back-slaps to FairCrack supporters everywhere.

Cool

The wildlife must be wondering what the noise is from all those pulpers in the District.  Grin

Great work Bente, Ralph, Andy, and of course CS'ers everywhere! Smiley

Awesome work to all involved, maybe a google earth .zml file could be made so CS's can physically see all the locations of the pulpers?

So good to see our little foundation making a difference Cool

I forgot to mention that we are also providing the funds to build raised drying beds for the beans after pulping for the new "central processing units" (CPU's).  The raised beds will happen after the pulpers are in and setup.

Nice to be able to see the actual hands-on results of positive action taken on behalf of the community, and to feel I have contributed, albeit in a very small way.

Excellent job done by all accounts

Leaps and bounds!

I haven't ordered beans for a while so have just sent a direct donation to go towards the next pulper.

Hmmm... maybe not... for fear of being fodder for local critters!

However I must say that Tanzania is very high on my travel wish-list.  I would love to see the villages first hand and will one day.... one day.
