    Best art I have seen

About five years ago I worked in Richmond and randomly strolled into Flavours of Lakhoum.

I ordered a coffee, which I didnt really look at until after I started drinking. When I did look into the coffee there was as deformed but recognisable face of a woman - I thought, "what the heck is this haunted coffee?"

I looked to find someone to show, but luckily I noticed that the pictures on the wall were all of coffee cups with faces.

A guy called Chris, who i think owned the place, would pour a coffee and then within a matter of 5-10 seconds, create an image of a face with a toothpick. Very talented.

I think the place has changed hands, so I am not aware of where Chris might b working. But his creations did taste as good as they looked.

A few of years ago at the Sydney AromaFest, I was in the final of a barista shootout with another Coffeesnob, Ben.

Ben etched Andy Freemans face into his coffee and took 1st place.
(Andy was the judge by the way, but it didnt matter because it was the better art).
Im more upset that Ben wouldnt have been able to do it if he hadnt found my supply of toothpicks. *;D

I heard about a Barista in New York somewhere, when you order your coffee, it comes with your face in it...
A novel idea, and a great display of talent.

I am starting to get the hang of free pour art but etching is a completely different style of talent all together.

I guess its just practise practise practise, but I think I want to have my free pouring amazing before I go down the road of etching.
