    Swan art

hi guys, just lately I have been shown a technique to pour a swan......It took me about a week or so to get something going, it is easy to get the body part of the swan as it is just a basic rosetta pattern. Then instead of bringing the milk back through the centre you bring it down the side of the rosetta then bring the jug in closer to pour the thick base of the swans neck and backwards you go then forwards to pour the swans head....the toughest part i reckon.

Not bad I reckon.....plenty more practice for me to go!
What do you guys reckon, please put up your swan pics/tips. :)

    Re: Swan art

    Not bad at all :)

I always struggle with the neck of my swans. I try to bust one out every so often but usually I stick with a rosetta because theyre easier for me to pull off :P

I should go back to practising them though.

Here is a photo I already put up in a thread called twins of a couple of back to back swans I did.

EDIT: I am left handed so my swans face the other way to yours :P

I really like the neck and head on that one Ristretterati :)

For me the neck and the head are what makes a good swan, because thats the part I am worst at.

Maybe Ill do some swanning about for my next few pours.

its the best one Ive ever done, all the rest since seem to have a bad case of motion blur on their wings... Knew I should have invested in that highspeed camera when I had the chance :S
