    FAEMA FAMILY COFFEE MACHINE

I purchased this machine at an estate sale, unfortunately there was no users
manual and having not had a machine before I have no idea how to use it.
Does anyone know how I can get a users manual for this?

Not really. These are very old machines. They have 4 buttons, the top button is the on/off switch, the next button down is the steam switch, then the hot water button and the lower button is the brew switch.

You will have to turn the machine on first, open the steam valve and press the hot water button to ensure the boiler is full. This will turn on the pump and the boiler will either fill up or water will be expressed out the steam wand.

Once this is done, the machine will work in the same way any single boiler machine will (such as a Silvia). So for hot water, you open the steam valve and push the hot water button. The pump will start and water will come out the steam wand. For steam, you push the steam buttom and wait for the boiler to heat up to steam temperature, then you open the wand and bleed out the water until dry steam comes out and youre ready to go.

I dont have time to continue right now, buy thats a start.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

I have one of these machines - AND I have the user manual which I can scan to PDF if that would suit.

What, you actually have a manual?! Thats like saying you have the Dead Sea scrolls... and theyre probably easier to come by.

Indeed - it has been passed down from generation to generation, its Times New Roman font cherished and lovingly protected in a clear flexible encasement of mysterious origin. The carefully translated latin phrases resonate with with truths long lost to so many.

"First take ye the connective plug and insert it carefully into the socket of power. Ensure that water covereth the long and the short aquaducts. . ."

These were indeed the words on mystery that greeted my when at last I came of age and the responsibility of espresso was passed to me.

OK - so I was wrong about the times new roman - this is CLEARLY a san serif font. . .
