    Hi Mike,
I donít know a great deal about this model. I have found out it is a La Carimali Murano, it is called a Murano because the red section is made of Venetian glass. My guess is itís around the mid 50s

You can see on the previous page, another La Carimali Murano but they are still different. I have different sides and the gauges and dials are all different and mine has gas and electrical heating; I am unsure which is older and if anyone knows I would appreciate any information.

I did not think of that. looks like it might be a bit like driving a tank with those to levers and the guage in the center.

i took a photo of the home set up.
This is a replacement for the single group astori volumetric; we are still dialing this in, at the moment the group head temp is a bit high.

    Hi Pwelsh.

Nice machines. Is that a two group President?

Can I ask how you organise shipping, and how much it was. Im thinking of shipping a 40kg single group back from Vienna, but the shipping is hugely expensive.

    cheers.

i had the rancilio Z9 version of that machine, ;D, love it. the one machine i wish i never sold it had the matching brass, copper grinder. so ugly that it was cool.

anyhow my Rancilio fascination has taken a new step. just secured a 67 HL senior line machine like the one in the attached photo. so cool. waiting for it to arrive. will post photos when i get it. it has the earlier lever group to that of the Z9, where the lever are is pinion operated similar to gaggia lever groups.

I have a couple of lever machines - a 2 group Gaggia - see pic. And a 3 group La Cimbali Gran Luce. The Gran Luce I have some idea as to how old etc *as I know this machines history - but the Gaggia Im struggling with. It was originally imported from Italy by the original owner who ran a cafe in North Melbourne. I bought it in 1997 and have rebuilt one of the groups.
But i have no idea how old it is etc. Any suggestions - Ive trawled the web for references but everything is either too old or too young.

Thanks - I had planned to strip it down and do a rebuild - but it may have to fund the Gran Luce rebuild. Gran Luce is a keeper - its complete with original front perspex etc. It was sold in Perth by the original La Cimbali agent George Samios in mid-ish 1950s.

Hmm thats helpful - plate says Gaggia, Milano followed by Export and then a serial number.
Thats it then, why didnt I think of that - its an Export.

Thats looking pretty similar - same bodywork, same handles etc. The style of the machine makes it look a little older than 1982.
    Thanks for the reference.

OK been meaning to show these pictures of my two favorite machines at the minute. 1976 MG/L and my 1967 Senior Line so much fun. Will show more photos when i have a chance.
the senior line is as it was the day it was built, it has been sitting in storage for 30 years until i aquired it a few months back.
MG/L has just been finished from full resto with new paint and decals.
    enjoy

Reasonable buy at less than $5k and the only thing missing seems to be the correct Perspex top (see page 1 for TCMs 2 grp). If it was post January I might have had a dabble too and considered selling the Izzo :o

It was originally listed at $2g then upped to 4g now re-listed at $5000 with best offer. Looks like he might have been trying to push the price up and got whumped?

I made a proposal to wife to sell her car to buy it but only received an uncharitable and very unkind suggestion about where shed stick my Elektra [smiley=angry.gif]. *
