    Service manual for Saeco Incanto

Does anyone have a service (not user) manual for a Saeco Incanto (sup021)?

A friend of my wife drop it off to me to fix it.
Problem? Coffee doesnt taste that good.
So I thought I would give it a clean and her a bag of fresh roasted beans.

Anything I should look out for?
This thing looks like nothing I have touched before, the term plastic toy comes to mind.

    Advice anyone?

    Thanks!

Re: Service manual for Saeco Incanto

Well, I cleaned it. Set it up. Tried it. Now I am probably the most against person about auto machines.

This is a piece of crap!
I really cant believe how bad this "thing" is. I get better out of my stove top. Mmmm... do I spend $20 or $650? Let me think... NOT!

On the finest grind, set to the strongest coffee it spat out 75-90ml of brown looking water with about 1mm of crema.

I then tried the "ground coffee" option. Ground in my Rocky at the setting that I would use for my Silvia. Much better, sort of. Got 30ml in 25-30 sec. The pump sounded like it would die.
The taste? Horrible. The smell? Horrible. >:(
The house now has a smell of light, burnt coffee. >:(

I used to say that autos are for people with no time, just push a button. Now I would have to say for people with no time AND no taste.

LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR SH!T COFFEE!!!

    What did you expect when your Avatar has only 6 strings ;) ;D :D :o ::) :P

I had to clean an Auto up and before I could get any thing that tasted OK... It meant LOTS of cleaning and flushing.. And manual pull apart to make sure all the old stale crap was out. It gets stuck in the most interesting places...

However, using my own ground beans got an OK shot but no where as good as the EM6910.

You could waste some cleaner ad do some flushing and a de scale :-)

Then again effort in may not = the output that one might expect.

That what happens when ya get spoilt :(

I have just posted a copy in the Documentation section - hope it is suitable.

I had one of these given to me some years ago - serviced it and then passed it on to my brother (actually, I swapped it for his Gaggia Classic which he didn't like because it was too much trouble to make a coffee)

I found that with these super automatics it pays to get some good food grade grease for the group mechanism and also don't try to get a decent coffee out of them with too fine a grind or over-dose as it puts too much strain on the mechanism.
