    Sunbeam Torino Collar Replacement

    Hi all,

Sunbeam appear to have allowed the collar to be replaced from the outside of the Torino (as opposed to the nightmare replacement in previous EM models). I've unscrewed the two obviously visible screws, but there's something still holding the collar in place (a hidden third screw?).

Anyone pulled this off yet and able to share the secret?

    Many thanks,

    Paul

Hi Paul, I'm hoping you managed to get yours sorted out and can point me in the right direction.

At this point, I haven't even been able to identify the collar to purchase. I called 3 service agents in Melbourne, none of which could find the part in their most recent part lists and asked me to call Sunbeam and ask them....So i did.....and the lady on the phone abruptly told me that they don't give part numbers to consumers!

Is it the same one is the EM6910? That one seems to be easy enough to source.

I had mine replaced under warranty. Disassembly is still a bit of a nightmare, despite the visibility of 'some' screws.

FWIW I've given up on DIY for these machines (life is too short).

    Good luck with yours,

    Paul
