Hello every one, I have just purchased the Gaggia Classic and want to replace the steam wand for a better quality one.

Hi Bet, the Gaggia Classic works well with the Silvia steam wand (V2 is simple to install, the V3 onwards can be installed but is somewhat fiddly from my understanding). My Classic has been upgraded to the V2 Silvia wand, the steam is consistent and controlled.

    Have a look at http://coffeesnobs.com.au/brewing-eq...ement-mod.html

@Bet - do you have the pre-2015 model with aluminum boiler or the new model with stainless steel boiler? The procedure for steam wand is a bit different.

Hi Jojo, I have the new model with stainless steel boiler and just purchased the Silvia steam wand . How is the procedure different? I hope it's not beyond my capacity

Hello coffee snobs, I was not feeling confident to do the job so I took my Gaggia Classic back to the place of purchase (Segafredo ) after learning they can change the steam wand on my Gaggia for a reasonable fee and two days wait. I was very pleased to hear the 2 year warranty will not be affected.
