Replace vib pump ECM Giotto - 2004

    Dear CS,
My ECM Giotto ( premium? ) from year 2004 starts to sound like a machine gun.
I guess itīs time to replace the pump right?

Can you support me with two points:

    1. Is it the ULKA EX5 pump Iīm going to purchase for the replacement?
    2. Please refer to pic in below link - How to I disassemble the connection marked in the picture?

    Thanks for your guidance!

    2. Undoes. Lefty loosy, righty tighty.

May need to remove pump first.

    thanks, finally it’s done.
Confirmed it was a ULKA EX5 pump.
no special tools required, just disamble the sides and the pump it’s just with some rubber mounts.
2 electric cables, unplug and plug in the new pump.

    Cheers!

Reminds me of a joke from the old country (a bit of background to it - we had a factory which half was manufacturing AK47s and the other half sewing machines): No matter how you assemble your sewing machine you still get an AK47.

Perhaps your coffee machine was manufactured in similar conditions... certainly gives a new meaning to "coffee shots" - just beware of ricochet ristretto.
