    Safe water hardness

I am not sure this is the correct forum, so please move the thread if not. I just did a hardness test on our tap water and it yielded a result of 5 dH = 100 ppm CaCO3 = 7.02e = 1.00 mmol/l alkaline earth ions. My machine is a Brewtus IV (vib). How dangerous is this (the hardness of the water) and what should I do about it, if anything?
