What model is my Rancilio coffee machine?
I just bought this machine the other day off eBay, it doesnt work but I intend on restoring it. The problem is I don’t know what model it is, all I know is that it is a rancilio with a tank. The other problem is I have no idea on where to start on getting it going. The power light goes on but that’s about all nothing is heating up nothing works at all but the on switch. Please help me!

Not sure on the exact operation of yours BTW but try this. Fill the tank turn the unit on and crack the steam tap and does the pump run or not? If the pump is running leave the valve open until you strart getting water out of the nozzle. This will mean your boiler is now full. Depending if there is a boiler sensor fitted this may then allow the heaters to start. Apart from that faulty thermostat or elements or electronics from there.
I found a bit more info when I was looking at it origionally too. Suspect it is an L series.
The "L" series were one group machines that predated the current offerings, such as the S27.
L4 - Pourover vibe, predecessor to S24
L6 - Rotary Semi-auto, predecessor to S26
L7 - Rotary auto, predecessor to S27
Download this file (It is 6.5Mb) http://www.iberital.com/iberital/MOL...20ORIGINAL.pdf Have a look at page 41 and you should see your machine.
best of luck with it.
