I've been a member for awhile as well, with very few posts - read up on the posting rules and policies, seems pretty clear. Hope you all have it sorted!

I seem to have lost the ability to post a new thread in the for sale section.

I have sold some stuff on here before but not for a couple of years.

Could a mod please have a look at my account?

If you have a look at the site sale policy rooster it says you need to be a member for at least 2 weeks and have at least 5 posted messages on the forum. By the looks of it you only have one post to your name, I'd say this is why you can't list something for sale.

This will up my post count, I have been a member for a while and posted maybe 20 times.

I think due to an upgrade they lost some post counts from the database as there are some comments further up in this post.

The above is the only post ever made by that (roosterben) account.

No posts have been lost during any upgrade. Post counts have been affected but the posts themselves remain. If you use the advanced search function and search for posts made by your user name you will come up with the 2 posts you've now made in this thread and that's it.

I guess it is possible I had a different account, can't find a record of it.

Easy to do. I've had coffee accidentally made using a Triton ute. Terrible. Very muddy

Hi guys, is there a way I can edit my thread title given my item is now sold? Do I need special permissions?
    Thanks

Once you post that the item is sold, mods see it and update. You did what you needed to do in that regard.
