FS: [Mel] Mazzer Robur Conical Grinder

    Hi my fellow snobs,

I have for sale a Mazzer Robur Doser grinder that has been a workhorse for my domestic coffee use.

I am upgrading to a Mythos One soon and this has to go.

Retailing for a minimum of $2k new, I am offering it for $1250.

This grinder was used in a cafe as a test grinder when I was working there and I bought it from them when I no longer worked there.

It has been doing 1kg a month over the past 3 years at best. Burrs were new when I bought it from the cafe.

Please check out the photos. The grinder has had its share of knocks and bumps but will not affect its operation in any way. Fresh burrs can be bought from Evilbay for $133 if you do a search.

I believe the burrs can still last a fair bit before you need to change new ones.

Once you are used to the grinding speed of a Robur, you will not ever be able to use anything slower. The extraction is also very consistent and thick compared to a flat burr grinder as well.

Here are some specifications of the grinder:

    Grinding blades: Conical 71 mm
Grinding speed: 420rpm (low speed grinding to reduce friction heat on the beans. typical 20gm dose comes out in 5 seconds)
    Hopper capacity: 1.8kg
Net weight: 28kg (Very very heavy and sturdy)

Grinder comes with a tray but it is not a Robur tray, it slides under the grinder but does not fit perfectly. However, it should do the job in catching grounds.

    Pickup location is Fitzroy, Victoria.

Inspection is welcomed but I would prefer not to put beans through the grinder unless you are serious about buying because I just cleaned it.

    Thank you for your time!

    Cheers,
    Jerome
