For Sale Expobar Minore II dual boiler (MELB)

    Hi all,

new year and a new direction in coffee making for me. Last year one heating element of my Expobar Minore had shorted out and due to an electrical fault in our house this affected ultimately the central control board. This was all fixed in November by the distributor of Expobar with a service which included:

    new central control board
    new pressure stat
    new anti-vac valve
replacement of screen / seals and o-rings

From the time that I had replaced the heating element to fault finding why it didn't behave as expected I started to drink more black pour over coffee. So my eyes are on a new Behmor Brazen machine and with the change left over I'll contemplate to add the roaster too. Roasting so far has been in a stainless cocktail shaker with some stunning results but hard to replicate.

I have owned the Expobar for 6 years and bought it second hand, the original build date is April 2006. I had it serviced by the distributor shortly after buying it and last November (receipts available) and have maintained it in between. Cleaned and backflushed as required. We make between 2 - 4 coffees each day. It is not a showpiece with some scratches but they are a solid machine and I expect it to provide someone many more years of espresso enjoyment.

The machine comes as set up in the pictures including:

    GEC rock tamper
    naked portafilter
second handle with double basket or triple basket and dual spout
    milk jug and thermometer
    cleaning brush

So you if you look to start your espresso journey all you require is select a grinder (I'm keeping my Vario) - I'm sure you'll find a good one here in the market square.

I'm in Belgrave 3160 (east of Melbourne) and strongly prefer pick up or "local" delivery of the machine. Price: $1250

If you have any questions or would like to arrange an inspection please do contact me.

Nice machine and good price for one in good condition, although I think it is a Minore II not a Minore III.
I have a Minore II built in June 2006 and looks just like yours. Since your is a couple of months older, I'd say it is also a II.

My understanding is that (cosmetically), the Minore III has a different temperature display - see pic.
Then for the IV, the numbers changed to blue.
Internally, I'm sure there are other changes, but to look at them, this is how I tell the II, III and IV apart.

Thanks for picking that up Brett, I actually like the old style red LED displays better, after dropping one numeral it's now a classic!

PS - could one of the moderators please update the THREAD title too as I only have access to the POST title.

    Cheers, Ernie
