    In my grinder:

    Espresso Wow from Brown Bay, Andy, thanks, this is an amazing blend true to the hype placed on it!

    In my cup: Espresso Wow double ristretto silky smooth sweet but not overly, an instant smile on the

    dial coffee as it passes your lips onto your front pallet with rich lingering flavors,

    and a crema thick enough to cut, this will become an instant favorite with all who try!

    take 2 Espresso Wow cafe latte cuts through the milk like a hot knife through butter, retains its original character and then

    some wow 8-)

    Grinder: "Passage to India" - Equal quantities Monsooned Malabar, Monsooned Peaberry, Chikmagalur, Tiger Mountain, Mysore Nuggets.

    Cup: Doppio espresso; Looks like it needs another day, very exotic and rich.

    Based on the post by greenman, I also roasted this last week.
    Blended post-roast and we are enjoying it very much. Only 5 days old so far and still seems to be improving.
    I think I will do this one again on the weekend, but I might blend pre-roast tonight and let the beans get to know each other for a day or 2.

    I went back through my roast log and could not find the last time I roasted Kenya AA, so I think it is about time I started using these beans up!

    Grinder:
    40:30:30 of PNG PSC AA/Yemen Ismail/Monsooned Malabar
    6 days post roast, and this blend has a HUGE richness to it (and the reddest crema Ive ever had in a coffee).

    Cup:
    Flat white (two double ristrettos as a base) caressed with velvet-smooth Bannister Downs milk and presented with one of the most intricate and symmetrical rosettas Ive poured in a long time.

    Today is a good coffee day *:)

    In the Grinder:
    One of my fave blends... [smiley=happy.gif] 40% PNG Sihereni, 30% Sumatra Kalosi Tojora, 20% Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and 10% Yemen Ismail.
    Pre-blended and roasted in my Corretto with Rolling FC at 8:45 and the first few snaps of SC at 15:30 then pulled.

    In the Cup:
    A strong Flat White prepared using a simple Plunger. Mmmm, absolutely beautiful..... 8-)

    In the grinder: Zambia AA Lupili Estate (only got a handful left *snif*)

    In the cup: Affogatto

    I poured a double shot and this affogato was so more-ish,.. I couldnt resist making another with the second shot (which I had planned put in the fridge for an iced coffee this afternoon) *oink!* . Too bad I didnt have anyone here to have the other one *snort*.

    Welllllllll,.. let me just say,..I thought I enjoyed the first one,.. but the second one was heaven in a cup,..it had cooled a little before I poured it on the icecream and by the time I cleaned up and sat down to oink out on it,.. the coffee had seeped all through the icecrean and gone a bit icy. Mmmm,..mmm.. I could really taste the flavour of the coffee so much more with the cooled coffee.

    Whod have thunk it?... coffee could lead to weight gain ::)

    1st Cup: Double Shot flat white (Liquid Amber Espresso Blend) from Sweet Marias 2 days out of Hottop.

    2nd Cup: 30ml short black (double) 12 day old, Black Cat from Intellgentsia.

    Grinder: Either of,
    50:50 blend of Mountain Top Bin 35 and bin 549 (5 days post roast)
    Jamaica Blue Mountains Mavis bank estate roasted to CS10 (the start of 2nd crack - roasted this morning)

    JBM is still degassing, but the MT blend produces a strong caramel flavour in milk. In a few days it will be .... choices choices.

    Bean taste was interesting. The MT bean was wallowing in unusual and exciting flavours, while the JBM seemed very coffee-like. Interesting to see how it develops.

    Havent added anything to this post for some time, do here goes...

    Grinder - Indian Monsooned Peaberry roasted to an "abominable" CS7

    Cup - Single espresso

    Surprisingly good given such a light roast. No grassiness to speak of, and quite intense fruit/spice with not much acidity. The customers seem to like it.

    Indian Monsoon Malabar CS 7-8, heaps of crema, intense mouthfeel, post roast 15 days.
    Flat white with fc milk, MM cut through milk nicely.

    Colombian Voltan Galeras 60%Malawi Panwamba AA+ 40% to CS 9.
    Double ristretto 30ml hot water, slightly acidid first sip then great mouthfeel, smooth rich, lingering aftertaste.
    Flat white, cut through milk to give wonderful smooth rich cup of joy.

    Marios Blend from Tichum Creek coffee farm between Cairns and Mareeba. The beans are about 1 week post roast and for Latte and Chinos - nice chocolate flavours that last well after the last slurp.

    As a ristretto (I am not particularly fond of) citrus and chocolate after taste and very good body.

    If you are in Cairns worth a visit. The owner is very easy to talk to and has a world of coffee experience and he reads CoffeeSnobs :o So he cant be to bad. ;)

    Very good crema. Getting good art. Was contemplating a 3 bean post roast blend, but started with these 2 a couple of days back and have ended up sticking with them.

    Id call it my left-overs blend (bring on the next BeanBay delivery *:)) - five days post roast - 80% Harrar, 20% PNG Sigri.

    This one surprised me over the last couple of days - although quite bright after roasting, it seems to have mellowed out giving a thicker pour, less acidity and a more pleasant sweetness.

    The Mrs. was away today so no-one was here to tell me when Ive had enough. *Therefore, I managed to enjoy it as:
    double ristretti (x2)
    double espressi (X2)
    flat-whites (x2)

    Thats funny, m sure I didnt have two computer monitors this morning.... :o

    Grinder: Coffee Supremes Fair Trade (schmeh) Organic (double schmeh) Espresso Blend

    Cup: Cappuccino

    The blend was roasted on the 6th, but it pulling quite nicely today. So far, the shots have been good, generic "chocolate bar" blend stuff. Very nice. Just goes to show that different roast profiles, beans, packaging methods, etc, will result in different optimum rest times.

    I preferred this to their main blend last time that I had that, but that was a while back, so Ill have to pick up some of that at some stage as well.

    Grinder: Bin 35. Crazy roast. Accidently took 10 minutes (!) to get from FC to SC. Expected it to be rubbish, but couldnt chuck it without tasting. 7 days PR. Bit too dark, a little flat, but still amazing.

    Cup: double shot = espresso + piccolo. Mmmm.

    Grinder: Ugandan bugisu, my first roast, rested 14 days :D

    Cup: long black from vacuum pot with one sugar

    Ground to turkish, brew for 10 minutes, 30 gram coffee for a mug.
