    Whats in my grinder and cup today?

    In my grinder: CoffeeSnobs Espresso Wow! from Mondays roast. *
    In my cup: 50ml double espresso shot of bliss, no sugar, no moo juice.

    (I know it sounds like an ad, but its also the truth!)

    In my grinder: Mountain Top 549
    In my cup: double with milk

    At work:
    In my grinder: 50/50 blend of yirg and longberry naturals
    In my cup: double espresso with 1/2 teaspoon sugar

    Grinder: Kenyan AA roasted to CS10
    Cup: 50ml double shot with a touch (1/4 tsp) of sugar. I find it a little acidic as a SO espresso however I just love the flavours.

    In the grinder: Popper roasted AA El Salvador, Brazil Monte Carmello (mmm.. caramel) and a touch of RK Robusta. (Waiting to try the Espresso WOW - still not arrived, Andy - salivating just from typing it :P.)

    In the cup: 50ml double shot latte.

    now ....... Latte with art ( impressionist, usually Pro Hart splot or phallic symbol of fertility) but some times I surprise myself and get it right!!

    Will be in the cup: macchiato on a doppio ristretto.

    70% Peru Grace, 30% Harrar Longberry

    In the cup:
    Double espresso long black

    Superauto technique - "The Andy button" is programmed for the finest grind, biggest dose, tweeked low volume (near ristretto shot), pressed twice and then hot water from the kettle added after that.

    In the grinder: Espresso Wow - 1kg arrived yesterday, roasted 3 days ago :)

    In the cup: This morning, similar to Andy - double ristretto based long black (40ml from 40gms firmly tamped), with a dash of organic full cream milk. I prefer to have the hot water already in the cup, then extract into that - retains the fullness of the crema that way.

    Deliciously thick honeycomb crema I could take a knife & fork to. Fruity & earthy aroma. Full-bodied, rich creamy mouthfeel bursting with flavours that I feel will mature & improve with say another 3-4 days rest (if I have the patience to not gobble the rest up before then ::)). The crema poured just a tad too bubbly at this stage - needs a bit more of a rest.

    All-round, fantastic so far as a predominantly espresso base. Might try it as a piccolo this arvo, & see how it cuts through more milk.

    Hats off to you Andy - bravo on a great blend that Im keen to keep tasting as it matures over the days to come! ;)

    Ethiopian Harrar Longberry Naturals - roasted just into rolling second 2 weeks ago

    In the cup right now:
    The above beans in a Double Latte

    Working really now after the 2 week rest - has developed in that time into a nicely enjoyable cup with good body and lingering, pleasant aftertaste that makes you want to keep rolling the tongue around your mouth :)

    In the grinder: OK, so I finished work on Saturday and wanted to take some of the Estate blend home. Unfortunately for me, between the grinder at work and my lovely whole bean buying customers the box of Estate that I had in the morning dwindled down to a miniscule hundred grams at the end of the day. So I ended up blending it with an equal amount of Harrar Blue Horse.

    In the cup: 170mL cappuccino with a "John Doyle" base - 40mL in 20 seconds ... and an eyelash. Its quite off-putting, but Ill count it towards my protein intake ;P

    In mine atm is Yemen. The older it gets the smoother it becomes!

    In the cup: 210ml latte, this blend gets better by the day, smooth and chocolaty, creamy texture and great body with no after taste ............ sadly only a few days supply left, ah well better roast some more.

    60% Brazil Santos, 30% El Salvadore AA, 10% Indian Kaapi Royale Robusta.

    In the cup:
    Well, its rested for about 5 Days, & it has a full flavour which seems to punch (for want of a more descriptive word) through the milk with no bitter aftertaste!

    Im just switching from Campos Hararr back to Di Bartolis house blend. All I can say is that I stopped for a cup at first said cafe and bounced when I saw what they had. Then I cried - all earth and no blueberry, while the BrownBay/GreenBay Hararr had all the things about it that those beanoscenti rave about. Next time, Ill save my money in Campos and use it for the site sponsors. Ive learnt my lesson!
