Classic rookie mistake though. Not leaving enough overhead for upgrades without spending a fortune.

It's not a second drip tray... it's a raise for when you're extracting into demitasses.

Love the wood side panels on the 700/T64 combo Paul - are they actually timber or a vinyl print?

I look forward to adding a Bullet to this thread one day! (If they'd hurry up...)

IIRC Matt, that is solid wood.

My Hottop roaster recently died after 8 1/2 years of faithful service. Here is it's replacement, the KN-8828B-2K.
Thanks again to Renzo and the team from Di Bartoli who continue to give me A1 service

The beginning of the journey - 5/8/2008. I believe it to be one of the first bought from Greg Pullman (invoice #4). Where has that time gone?

La Rocca Expres? I think they're Spanish aren't they? Not sure what it'll be like getting parts so hopefully it's running well. By all accounts a good workhorse machine.

Had this set up in the kitchen for a day once I finished the rebuild on it. I'm happy with how it's come up, but it's just a bit too big for home (its worse than it looks in the photo) so it's back in storage for now.

Nothing special, just picked it up this weekend for $999 plus the knock box. First order of business get some proper freshly roasted beans, and a bigger steaming pitcher. Then looking forward to a naked portafilter, some Acne & Co cups/mugs and maybe better scales in the future, as these are a little slow and go back to sleep too quickly, very easy to lose your tare.

Nice Jono , are you going to upgrade to the conical valve and the periscope guage?. Did you change the steam arm or did it come on that side.

Clumping hasn't been too bad really, unless you have to go very fine such that burrs are about to meet. That said, with my other grinder (Macap M2M) I had already accustomed myself to WDTing the grinds before tamping and I kept doing so when I got the K3. I think with this grinder the shot quality greatly benefits from such or any other grooming routine.

I was thinking of adding those updated features, the steam arm was moved, I don't mind it there, but it's different to every other machine I've had I think.

I am just about to order a Synesso MVP Hydra, but I'm starting to wonder is it really worth it?

I've wanted a roaster and I'm thinking of changing to a Synesso MVP Hydra in place of the GS3. I've bought a Behmor to get started so far I'm quite happy with it.

I actually really like the Kony, the Mythos is a dream grinder though. I do like to have two blends/roasts going at once, as my wife and her friends are milk based coffee drinkers I only drink espresso now.
