Perth - Woodvale Snob Gathering Saturday 23rd September 10am

I thought I would run a few more of these before the holiday season intervenes.

These gatherings are informal, always fun and any member will feel welcome and you can also bring along friends or partners.

I encourage people to bring anything, everything or nothing at all.

It is good if a few people can bring snacks, others bring their favourite roast, other bring grinders and some interesting equipment.

I have a Macap M4D as well as a Robur so the spare grinder means you can dial in your roast without upsetting my settings. I have a plumbed in Mini Nova Classic so it is easy to put through lots of coffees and milk if you desire it. I will supply coffee, sugar and milk but again feel free to bring your own.

Please don't be shy if you don't know anyone, you most definitely will be made welcome!

Reply or PM me for details.

    Hi Artie:

It is starting to look like a reasonable gathering.

    It should be good!

    Cheers,

    Hi Artie:

It will be interesting. In terms of grinders there will be the 83mm A8 flat burr, My Macap M4D 58mm flatt burr, my Robur 71mm conical burr, a K10 68mm conical, the small conical Sette and probably a Baratza Vario with 40mm ceramic burrs. Just bring lots of coffee and maybe a spare coffee machine or two and a bottle of valium...all looking good.

I do have spare power boards...and a good size bench and even a good size table outside so all good.

    Hi,

Just to remind people that this is a great opportunity to get together here in Woodvale Perth to share your interests in coffee with like minded and friendly people.

Don't be afraid, I am happy to have you all here and new faces are welcome.

PM me for my address and mobile.

One final reminder for tomorrow meet at 10am in Woodvale. I will check for anyone wanting to come. You can PM me for address .

    Everyone is welcome.

John is ill in hospital and everyone attending previously will remember him as a rather amazing man but with a few health issues. Right now he has been in hospital cardiac unit for some time.

I said we were all thinking of him and I thoughtfully accepted his excuse for not showing up tomorrow...

I am hoping next time he will be well enough to attend.

Hi Thanks everyone for coming. It was a great day. We had a whole bench full of different contraptions mainly grinders but other equipment also and I think everyone enjoyed it.

Thanks to JWILL for his Guatemalan coffee done with a heat gun, Artie for his famous mocha brownies and TampIT for this lovely bread.

John who has showed up to all the events was unfortunately in hospital but we hope he is well enough for the next event.

The forum is great but it is even better to meet up. I wan to do it again before Christmas and make it more of a regular thing. It is easy to organise so I don't see why we shouldn't meet up more rather than less.

Hi Guys. The gatherings are small but very friendly and I think everyone gets a lot out of them. I will have another one in November, not too close to Christmas, most likely. I always PM past attendees. Unfortunately it is all too easy to miss these invites unless you keep a close eye on this part of the forum.

Hi Wattgn, please add me to your contacts for the next Gathering and hopefully I will be able to attend, though I only usually have 1 coffee in a day so I may have to plan staying up all night after the session!
    thanks

You just need to build up your tolerance. A Caffeine gym may be in a suburb near you.

Seriously not a lot of coffee gets drunk but there is a lot of talking and l encourage people to bring a plate/snack and last meet we had plenty of nice snacks as well as good coffee.
