Lightbulb The Exponential Curve to Coffee Snob Town in Graphical Form

    Coffee_Snob_Graph4.jpg

My first post on coffee snobs after reading it for months, using it for knowledge gathering and purchasing decisions, I've decided to document my journey graphically in a way that most coffee snobs would be familiar. I purposely didn't go all the way to 100% because there is always going to be someone that is more of a coffee snob than you. (And always good to leave room for improvement). If you tell me you never drank instant coffee then you're a liar, but you also need to add +2% bonus Coffee Snob rating. The graphic is slightly off as I condensed 15 years of instant and sub-par coffee drinking into the first 12 units, but I think subconsciously I must be trying to block out some of those years.

I am interested to see if any fellow coffee snobs have experienced a similar profile or how your profile differs from mine..

Working in IT I am very reluctant to click on those links. Can you attach it to your post? as ibb.co has a gotten a bit of a bad rep of late.

Hahaha that's hilarious, love it! Welcome WorldOfRusty! Very cool graph, I love how in the latter half, all the events are really really closely spaced, so true!

Similar journey, I actually think I started with the espresso machine at work, then I bought instant thinking "Ah this stuff has surely gotta be the same!" Haha.. then it went from there

Very good! I like the last one! Coincidentally why do so many cafes stuff up what is essentially such a simple process? Can never really understand that.

    Cheers

Great post, I can relate to so many of those points based over a longer period of time. My coffee journey accelerated at ballistic speed when I discovered Coffeesnobs--say no more!!!!!

Thanks! Yeah it all happened very quickly, in fact I feel bad for the local coffee roasting guy that gave me a whole bunch of information and demonstrations on dose and grind settings when I started buying his roasts, thinking that he had a long time customer on his hands... Now that I have the roaster I have to dodge his calls and turn all the lights off in the house to make it look like no ones home

Love it so funny because it's so close to the truth for so many of us.
