    Coffee table/kitchen island

    Hey everyone.

Our kitchen doesn't have the space for a coffee machine unfortunately, so we need to buy a table/island.

I found this one at ikea. It's $299. We would like to see what other people have found or are using for their coffee machines some choice would be great haha.

Whatever you choose, have a play and test with it to make sure it is sturdy and doesnt move around. Coffee machines can be heavy and it can be a PITA if you need to brace the trolley every time you lock/unlock the PF.

I bought a very similar one of these from ikea. It has done the job perfectly, it is very solid and doesnít wobble. I went to Bunnings and bought a small amount of thick plastic sheeting (like the stuff you place over tables) and put over the top for ease of cleaning. I have no regrets in purchasing it. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips guys! This one is called Stenstorp.

I'm looking for a cheaper option though. Doesn't need to be on wheels. I prefer it not to be.

See if I can remember to take a photo of my setup. I got this one off gumtree for $70. Itís pretty good I must admit. Doesnít move and very sturdy. Although one thing to note because it has no side walls it may not be big enough.

Bought this one from aldi for 149 bucks. Stainless steel top. Handy drawer and good storage for cups, coffee, utensils. Solid as with lockable wheels.

Here it is. Was used heavily yesterday so my partner didnít clean it.

We are installing a shelf to move all the cups up (floating shelf). And underneath we store our pots and that.

Looks perfect. Might even be a small version of the ikea one?

Yeah. I thought it would be bigger. Thatís our fridge recess. It measured perfectly so I knew I could only get the ikea one.

Itís actually a lot better quality than one would expect.

there used to be (maybe still is) a trolley like that at ikea with a fold out section that normally hangs down. might be handy for additional prep area when making coffee that can be folded down to save space otherwise.

    cheers

Ah that's awesome, good timing this thread as I'm moving soon and may very well need one of these! (The cheaper the better, but would have to be sturdy enough)
