Wa training courses for novice
Iím thinking I should take a course and learn some more about how to make coffee at home. So far itís been home guided but diagnosing shots is almost like the blind leading the blind.
Next week I have the week off so was wondering if anyone have any guidance on courses in Perth.
I like espresso and my partner likes lattes.
We have a breville dual boiler and grinder package.
So far Iíve looked at the ones below but unsure if some of these are more aimed at training for a commercial environment and not home
I used to do a lot of my own coffee at home and learned as I went, then for one Fathers day my wife gave me a nationally accredited baristas course which I did. I can't remember what number it was but my point is I would go for courses which are nationally accredited... Look for the upside down triangle... Maybe do a course which includes espresso first followed by a latte art course...
My daughter did both courses and enjoyed them.
I wouldn't know which companies are good or bad but, if nationally accredited, they should train to a minimum standard.
Hope this helps.
Thanks big daddy. That is the consideration I had. Do a more tailored home barista course or a commercial and get the certificate. Canít say Iíll ever need my certificate though.
