    Compak E5

I am almost in the process of pulling the trigger and getting the new Compak E5, only thing that makes me nervous is lack of information on the internet about it.
If anyone has any experience or information on it could you please share thank you so much again

Nothing to be scared about. The interface has been around for quite a while and everything else is "parts bin" so to speak.

It's a robust, ~10 sec double grinder and the build quality is terrific. It's a very good seller for us.

Yes sir guilty as charged, but I don't use white sugar I use brown sugar. And I really don't use sugar anymore I use 2 teaspoons of the condensed milk after I steam the cow's milk

I'm sorry, but there's no need for added sugar in a coffee, if you have pulled a good shot and steamed the milk correctly. If you are going to add sugar (or condensed milk) to coffee, then, there's no need for the Compak E5, any grinder will do.

Thanks for posting. Vids are great.
The E5 is a beast. You can see the speed and the fluffy grind.
The shot was good but try slowing it down a little. My ideal shot is one that just oozes out without choking.
Of course, that's me. We are all different.
    Enjoy

    Yep, agree with Paul....

Try slowing your shot down some, such that in around 30 seconds, you end up with around 60ml in the cup. That should get you very close to a pretty decent and richly flavoured espresso. After that, you can just try a bit of experimenting with grind setting to adjust the flow rate up and/or down, until you find the "ideal" that suits you.

What if you like how it tastes with sugar? Wouldn't that be a good enough reason? Isn't that why we do all the crazy stuff like weighing doses and home roasting, because we like the taste?

We sold a white E5 yesterday with a Rocket R58 to a new to home coffee client.

The client asked for a hand to get things grind into the zone and after the unboxing, I ended up with 10 seconds for an OEM Rocket Espresso naked with triple basket which went with the machine.

Of the E5/M4D and Fausto, the E5 packs the quickest grind and most comprehensive software. I continue to be impressed by this little powerhouse...

No, unlike a tiny percentage of our readers, the purchaser has taste

Hey that's not nice remember our differences is what makes the world a better place, also I took back the E5 and exchanged it for a K3 advanced. I really don't make espresso that often to substantiate the purchase price, plus my wife gave me that evil eye look and told me I have a kid in college.
So I wait patiently for the arrival of my Compaq K3 advanced in polished aluminum....

A white E5 sounds cool. I think a bit later in the year an early Christmas present for myself will be a grinder upgrade (and machine service). At the top of my list so far would be the macap m4d and compak E5. So when the time comes maybe a trip to Northcotte could be planned to make some comparisons.....

It's all down to personal taste Sam.

I know, enjoy and am able to make good coffee.

I use a small spoon (approx 3 grams) of sugar in my brew, always have and always will.

If you don't like or feel the need for sugar, fine, your choice, please don't assume a lack of knowledge or taste just because others differ.

    Vive la Difference.

Good list you have there. These are both great grinders.
At the same price point I'm sure the E5 would be the winner. However, with the M4D at $900ish compared to $1200ish for the E5, I'm finding that the Macap outsells the Compak approx 5:1.
    Cheers - Paul

Probably sounds weird, but I too use a little sugar in flat whites (Coconut Blossom Sugar) but none in black coffee....

    Talking

I think I was a little dishonest with that, she couldn't tell the difference between a K3 and E5. So let's just say what you don't know won't hurt you, there's a reason I've been married for over 25 years fellas....

I tried that with a new motor cycle once..... and a turntable.......then there was a fishing rod, rifle, stereo amp, surfboard and cricket bat.

i ended up in all sorts of strife until she reduced my credit card limit to $500.

It won't let me view it. It gave me a network error the other day when I tried to view in the other thread. Depending on which device and browser / app I view it in it says "Error 400: Network error" or "This video is unavailable."
