    Compak K10 Pro

    Hi all,
I have a new K10 Pro. With an auto cut off on top of the chute. In order to single dose the auto switch will have to go. The removal of the plastic bits and the little switch is easy. But what to do with the wires sticking out? Has anyone got a way to fix this?
    Thanks.

From memory, join them together. I used insulated crimps then heat shrink the lot.

Wouldn't do this until the grinder is out of warranty....

First, remove plug from power outlet...

If possible, better to grab a compatible joining link that fits the existing connectors and then use properly rated (240V) heatshrink insulation to protect the join. Or, if the connectors are compatible, slip one connector under the other on the microswitch then tighten the screw. All depends on the mechanics of the connection but a fully reversible mod' is preferable to a permanent one...

Thanks guys. I was aware of connecting the wires together. I only hoped that there might be another solution inside the unit, rather than pushing the wires back into the hole after connecting and insulating them.

    Yeah, not really...

Manufacturers don't really expect people to disable facets of their design, given they're targeted at the commercial sector...

    Great grinder.

I'd be interested in custom / variable timers on these "old" doser grinders. I'd prefer my LSM SM95/A to shut off after maybe 8-10 seconds rather than the options of 1 or 3 minutes

Just take care Hack. Might be worth getting a tech to do it. Stay safe
