You've probably jammed the grind chamber and exit chute with very fine grounds. If you can get the hopper off and have a shop vacuum try vacuuming out the grinder. Then try grinding coarse to see if that will push the chunks of fines through.
Hi all,
My Lelit Combi has been going well until last night I decided to mess with the grind setting as I thought it needed to be finer. I don't know what I've done but now the bean hopper does not turn when I turn the grind dial. Also, the beans do not become coarser as I turn the dial the opposite way, the beans take a while to come out of the grinder and when they do it is in large clumps. Is there a quick home remedy for this or have I completely ruined it?I suspected that there may be some sort of blockage but the grinder on the Combi seems almost impossible to take apart.
Apologies for another noob question and if this has been discussed at length in another thread.
Cheers.

Hi sprezzatura, thanks for the advice. Sounds like that is probably the case. I figured out how to take off the bean hopper and vacuumed out the grinder. However when I put the hopper back on and turn the dial to the coarser setting, the hopper doesn't move and I feel like it is not making the grind coarser. Any suggestions on how I can recalibrate the grinder?
UPDATE: I've removed one of the screws and now the wheel thing is spinning when I turn the dial. Does anyone know if there is any harm in leaving this screw out? Thanks.
Are you referring to the limit screw? Sounds like it jammed the collar preventing adjustment. If so then no, just remember not to adjust to a too fine grind setting where the burrs can clash.
Cheers
Limit screws can prevent the regulation ring from inadvertently moving during grinding. Seeing as the Lelit uses a worm-drive screw to adjust grind you can try leaving the screws out. Try from coarse (caster sugar) WHILE your grinding to fine it up small increments at a time. Adjusting fine is done best while grinding.
Great! Thanks heaps for your help guys
