Would a Lido E have the same find quality /consistency as a Eureka Atom?
This is a pretty specific question but I want to go to a manual grinder for less retention.
What is the grind consistency and quality of the lido e? Would it be on par with the atom? (I'm not sure if this is a silly question, there is a large price difference)
Also, what is the next level above the lido/pharos? I have a budget slightly higher than the $300 of a Lido.
They say you should spend as much on your grinder as your machine, is this not applicable to manual grinders?
Science Teacher, can't help but smiling about your thread. A month ago I was really enjoying reading your thread about the Atom - now we are reading about your quest for a replacement. Good luck with your search, maybe just go straight to the Kafetek Monolith now and save the pain in between?
Shush! Don't tell anyone :') hahah.

I actually really want a Hg one I had a laugh. Haven't seen alot about the monolith. I know it's costly
I'll help you out and swap you a Lido E for your atom!
seriously I'm interested in where the Lido E sits in a comparison with electric grinders so hopefully you get some feedback.
i was going through the same thoughts recently as want an electric grinder with low to no retention and have jumped on the Niche project (there's a tread on here re them) so hoping in 9 months time when arrives it lives up to the review.
I just watched the video for the niche. I gotta say, I don't like the look at all. It seems to do what the baratza sette 270 does (no retention) but that's about it? 40mm vs 63mm burrs tho so that's a bonus.
