Lido 3's inconsistent grind with age
My old and faithful Lido3 has had a good run. A grind or three every day for the last few years and hasn't skipped a beat. Until lately, anyway.
I haven't had a good pour over in a few months now. My cups are either over or under extracted. If they don't stall 2/3's into the pour, they're tasting under extracted. I'm still using the same couple of roasters (Market Lane and ONA) which usually bring me joy and happiness, but lately have brought me moments of disappointment and existential crises.
The Lido is regularly serviced and cleaned but hasn't had any effect on the grind. Observationally, the grind is fairly inconsistent.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their aging Lido's?

Has it ever had a new set of burrs dan?

Uh, never. Haha. I haven't thought about replacing just the burrs. Probably should think about it.

Could well be a good place to start.

Could there be a bit of wobble in the axles? I remember reading that the bearings were able to be replaced, can't find a source for that for the life of me though

There is some discussion of L3 burr issues on Home Barista. It might be worth reading through the following thread to see if it identifies anything helpful for you.
