BeanBay Green Bean Release June / July 2017

BeanBay Green Bean Release June / July 2017

    Available in BeanBay now:

    Ethiopia Ghimbi

Ethiopia Ghimbi. This dry processed Western Ethiopian has a long list of coffeesnobs fans who grab it every year when we land it. Motley colours during a roast don't stop this bean from having some great earthy and spicy attributes with more than a hint of coffee cherry fruits. Great body at a CS9 roast depth but works well in darker roasts too. Great as a unique single origin coffee or you use it to add some interest to a blend.

    Costa Rica San Marcos Geisha

Costa Rica San Marcos Geisha at under $50 a kilo is certainly a bargain entry to the world of the Central American Geisha varietals.
Very well processed this Geisha is crisp, clean and fruity. Excellent in the Brazen and equally as good in the espresso machine.
Sold in 1kg lots so it doesn't break the bank.

    PNG Wahgi AA

PNG Wahgi AA. Well washed, sorted and sized this is a really easy bean to roast and the results work well through a number of roast depths and brewing styles. Bright and acidic at CS8, Sweet at CS9, full of cocoa at CS10. I like it as an doppio espresso at CS9 where it's still has some lingering brightness but this coffee really shines best in milk based drinks.

    ROBUSTA Indian Monsoon

ROBUSTA Indian Monsoon is a unique coffee.
While I do know a couple of people that love it as a single origin it's really best suited to bolding-up and Italian espresso blend.
The robusta beans are left in drying racks through the monsoon season resulting in light weight, large beans that are more balanced in the cup.
It takes a fair bit of extra heat during roasting and expect a long roast too. Heavy gelatinous crema produced by this and it can turn any blend into the taste of Italy.

    ...the required fine print...
(with the exception of the 1kg Geisha's and the 2kg Monsoons) All BeanBay green beans are packed in 2.5kg zippered cotton bags, perfect for storage for up to 3 years when kept in a cool, dark and dry position. We ship paid orders out from the Snobbery Monday to Thursday and BeanBay will show the available shipping options and actual freight costs to your area. Larger orders are typically cheaper to freight per kilogram so we suggest ordering all your requirements at once. We also strongly recommend that you ship to an attended address (eg: work or grandma's house) to avoid delivery delays. Monday to Thursday we will ship everything same day that we receive payment for but please remember bank lag means it will take at least a day for your payment to get to us even though your bank took it from you instantly. If you want it faster, don't procrastinate and please order earlier!

    Enjoy!
