    Rainbow Coffee Art

I just ran across this the other day and expected it was posted on CS a while ago.

Rainbow colouring puts bright spin on Brisbane barista's coffee art - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Just when you thought that the idiots could not get worse ideas (the other one is adding wine to a coffee roast, waste of both IMO).

Doesn't matter how much crema as the milk will sit on top.

Don't like the idea though, food colour actually tastes. Pretty sure this started out some years ago as a training tool rather than an end product

Hmmm looking at the videos I can't see the slightest hint of any coffee - is this really coffee art or is it actually latte art?

taste consideration aside, that looks pretty cool. the thing with swirls (tie-dye for example) is that people seem to have a sine-wave tolerance for them. they start out super popular, and then become okay, then super lame. but then they rise back up and repeat the cycle. i think it'd be cool for a few weeks spaced throughout the year.

IMO, the only redeeming feature is the boost for charity...

Pretty patterns! not sure it has anything to do with improving the coffee.
