    Coffee in Venice

Known more for tourism and quite variable coffee, I was surprised to find a real roastery serving great coffee in tackily touristic part of Venice.

Torrefazione Cannaregio, opposite Campo S.Leonardo, has half a dozen grinders lined up with coffee beans from diverse areas. (As well as the usual coffee sacks lining the walls)

You pick the bean, it is ground on the spot and your order is made.

The 'standard' bean is a Brazil Santos. 0.90 for espresso, 1.40 for capp.

Well worth a try in an area where a brew can cost way moreImageUploadedByCoffeeSnobs1491294949.945541.jpg

Purchased a set of 6 white espresso cups (pictured) from the very same store.

    We also enjoyed the coffee.
