Despite my member name I am not from NZ.

However, I own a Lido E and can confirm that some lucky CS brother (PC alert - or sister) from across the ditch is going to be one very appreciative recipient of this heirloom quality grinder.

A most generous offer, and another confirmation of the humanity that makes this forum so unique.

    Hi Logga

Apologies for going off topic, but just noticed that you are in Napier.

Just chanced upon a new pour-over type lever being developed by some guys in Napier. The Newton Espresso has some similarities to the Strietman, but without heating element - just relying on boiled water.

Have you seen this? Been involved in beta testing?

They might just beat Paul Pratt (Cafelatco) to the punch. He has been more active on Instagram recently and his Robot (same principle as Baby Faemina but with modern seals etc) seems to be coming closer to release after a long gestation.

They both look interesting, thanks for the tips. I'll be following the Newton guys from now on to see how they go. It's an attractive looking little unit, but my initial impressions are that the Flair does a better job than either of these two and is already readily available.
