well this blend was amazing, to the point that my next batch of mexican, which until now has been an SO i go to bed early for, now seems less awesome. poor me

the annoying thing is i didnt write down the quantities for each bean so i may never capture it again but itll be a fun adventure trying i guess

Yeah, Ive had a few of these bitsa blends over the last few years. Without exception, they have all tasted pretty good, with the 2009 XMAS blend being a knockout.

They are always a pre-roast blend where I throw 2, 3 or 4 beans from the end of bags together.

Same sort of problem though. Some of the beans may not come around again, some will probably not taste the same and with me, I dont usually apply much science to these roasts.

Drinking one this week in fact.
Finished off bags of Peru Grace Estate and Columbian Volcan Galeras and didnt have enough for a full batch, so put some Brazil in for a base.

+ 6 days at present and enjoying greatly. Im sure I can throw similar stuff together again, but whether it replicates the taste, who knows.

    Great fun though!

    Brett.

Those are beans I use in my blend. So I can (naturally) recommend the proportions in the KJM blend!

I remember chucking together a couple of bag ends a long while ago - one was PNG Waghi and the other was an African. Unfortunately, I chucked them together to free up bags... and didnt write it down. It was lovely. Spent a long while trying to get it back. Eventually I concluded that Id never be able to do it - one bag was roasted a week earlier than the other, and I have way too many Africans to choose from to guess which one it actually was....

Since that fateful day, Ive tried to be much more careful in jotting things down :-[ (I still dont jot everything down though..)

    /Kevin
