Volcan Galeras Especial/Sulawesi Blue 50/50 Blend

Roasted a batch of Colombian Volcan Galeras Especial and Sulawesi Blue 1200g taken to 14C past the beginning of first crack and then into the cooler. After resting for a week I tried it as a long black resulting in a super syrupy, lovely sparkling acidity, fruit, chocolate and cocoa notes with a lingering aftertaste--YUM!!!!

Nice blend choice, I love those two together.
It works well in milk too as the Colombian Volcan is bold enough to cut the milk and the Sulawesi adds the fruit and cocoa.

You can also add the Elephant Hills to that blend to soften it if it's too bold for espresso shot newbies and as a bonus it adds some sweetness.

Really great allrounder beans those three and tweaks in percentages really change the resulting drink.

Tried adding Ethiopian Gambella Sundried to the Volcan Galeras and Sulawesi Blue on weekend. 1800g roast:- Volcan Galeras 900g, Sulawesi 450g, Gambella 450g, 15.5min. roast 14C past first crack, nice looking roast. Been enjoying long black and flat whites the past two days. As a long black it has a pleasant acidity, super creamy crema, hints of fruit and rich chocolate/cocoa/spice, beautiful viscous mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste. Flat whites were super tasty, with lush crema and really cut through the milk with rich chocolate notes.
