Brasilia Lady - A Good Purchase?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hello everyone, this is my first post, please go easy on *me *;)

For the past few years I have been using a little Krups machine (XP4000) for all my espresso/cappuccino needs and although it isnt the best coffee Ive ever tasted, it does the job at 7am!

Today I found a Brasilia Lady up for grabs in a second hand shop, priced at 25 (32 US dollars, 22 UK pounds).

Does anyone have any experience with these machines, will I be able to produce a better coffee than I currently get?

Ive read the overhaul post by AndyNZ on one of these (http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1195559255) and am happy to tackle this sort of work (Im a plumber by trade if it helps?!?)

Theres a pic below of the machine, please let me know what you think.

    Thank you in advance *:)

Selling now, selling, final bids, no further bids, SOLD.
At under $100 AUD,just buy it at that price, ask questions later.
worst case scenario, element and boiler, control board or will make a secure paper weight. Joking
Brasilia parts available. If time available complete rebuild will make a decent machine with lower than replacement cost.
Get a receipt of ownership though.
Any idea of the grey box it is sitting on in pic?
ps no offence but have never met a plumber or electrician that can make a good cup of coffee.

No offence but it is true, met plenty of highly skilled electricians and plumbers who have helped me fix an issue and most had an interest in coffee but never met one who could make a decent brew.
We should meet and then I can retract my light hearted comment.
    youre a rare one.
    good on ya Mal

Apologies to all Tradesmen that can make a good brew.
I know many and have never met one that can make a good brew.
I do have an office with 2 espresso machines, 2 grinders and different blends every week. I guess it is sort of an office job.
I do have an attitude, but not a bad one.
I have never met a Picture framer that can make good coffee either.
I do need a picture framer though, but not to help me make coffee.
    Original post was to olliesanders.
Did you buy it? Can we help?
    Cheers
