Blind Filter for Breville Ikon (BES400) ?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi guys,

I have a Breville Ikon (BES400), and Ive replaced the original filter basket to the KRUPS one recommended in this forum and they work great!!

Im just wondering whether anyone knows if there is a blind filter out there for this machine.

    Thanks in advance! :)

    Hi,

Not sure if there are any blind filters. However, you may want to try a rubber insert, which, I guess, you can get from one of the sponsors.

    Cheers

    Hmmm,

As far as I remember, these machines do NOT use a 3-Way Valve to exhaust Group pressure after completing a shot. Not only is there no point to using a "blind" filter but you might cause the machine to reach pressures higher than intended and ultimately cause premature failure within the hydraulic circuit somewhere.

    Step cautiously.... :o
