    Newly puchased Saeco Via Vienza

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Well, I just got a new (second hand) machine. I also have a new EM0480.

I have been using a stovetop espresso maker and buying my (ground) beans fresh.

I am looking forward to taking the next step!

I get the machine tomorrow, are there any mods I need to look at?

I watched some online videos but would appreciate any tips, even the obvious ones.

I have a source for fresh roasted beans.

Throw away the pressurised basket (fake crema enhancer) if it came with one.

They dont have a pressurised basket, but the group handle has a pressurising gizmo in it, which can be removed (or just remove the spring). Theres heaps of instructions on the net on how to do this.

Also, remove the froth enhancer from the steam arm.

I have taken the pressure thing out and the froth thing.

I am experiementing with the grind. I have read that the puck should look like a shower head but cant get it. The coffee is getting better though!
