Just bought a Breville Aroma Style Electronic (BCM600)

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi

My coffee plunger lost a nut. So being the stressed out mature aged uni student that I am I went forth to my local Harvey Norman. I nervously chose the Breville BCM600.

Please have pity on me. Im still recovering from exams and the job hunt (I got one).

Can somebody please just tell me if it will produce coffee that is noticeably better than a plunger and that it wont spring a leak and flood my kitchen bench? Am I correct in assuming that coffee that is ground for a plunger wont work in it?

I know people have suggested the Aeropress in the past and Ive considered a vacuum coffee maker but this just seemed like a good choice at the time. Maybe after a few months in my new 12 month job I might think about spending money on something that produces a better cuppa.

    Thanks.

we used to have one of these at work, and we punished it daily! I think we made 2 - 3 jugs per day. From memory we would go through about one every one or two years.

I dont mind filter coffee, but again, garbage in garbage out!
