    Starting off.

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
My first post. I wish I had read some of the reviews before buying a Kraps (sic) automatic. Lousy coffee and froth, and broke down after 3 months. In the meantime, I sourced and bought a presso and a sunbeam grinder. I am very pleased with both, now for a Bellman stove-top frother. I had some good news today, the Kraps was going to be replaced by a new one or a superceeded model, but I was given my money back by the Retravision people. Thanks for listening to my waffling on, Bernie.

    Talking to yourself again Chris?

Although yes, certainly a cardable offence!

On a sort of related note, the latest advertising campaign for Nescafe Blend 43 has the tag line:
    "Still as good as ever."

Technically, I suppose that is correct, but would work equally well with
    "Just as bad as always."

Saw that add for the 43 bean variety and thought the same thing myself...actually dont mind that some prefer 43 beans...saves me having to share the proper coffee.

    Anyways..
its nice to see another Perth local on here. *

    Hows the Presso going Bernie?
    Look for

    Re: Starting off.

Hey guys, i am the owner of a sunbeam 6900 but was having aloook through different treads and nearly fell off my chair at the instant comment, its like drinking VB or XXXX when there is a stella or corona in the fridge.

I have to admit though i to know people who prefer 43 or even worse internaional roast over espresso coffee, maybe it reminds them of an earlier time when the coffee fairies hadnt yet come to our wonderful contry and the only coffee to be had was..... instant...

Keep up the hard work of finding the perfect cup :o

    Re: Starting off.

sorry for the confusion and insulting the Coffee Gods :o!! was not saying that instant is good but that Kr@ps are bad.

Did have an interesting conversation the other day with a guy who works for the 43 company, saying how good it is etc. was real hard trying to keep a straight face! :D
