    SUCCESSFUL "GREENBEAN" GAGGIA PID INSTALL

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
[size=14]HI. all...just pasting my blurb from another blog with "Robusto" who helped me with a PID install "gaggia".

    Subject: Re: PID help
« Date: Yesterday at 00:31 » YES!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG>>>ill be honest now..im not exaggeratting.

Ive had lattes from Illy and Bulldog in Toronto, Canada and this killed Illy and came really close if not the same to

    Bulldog lattes...( okay enough talk).

I pulled a shot this morning. clocked at 190F at the espresso shot glass blind. It was soooooooooooooooooo good.
no bitterness..im still giddy right now? riding high at work. *

ps. I didnt calibrate the thermocouple. So Syliu was saying if i dont i can just adjust the temp accordingly to taste
and monitor the temp in the shot glass. My display shows 235 but its not really 235 its more like 204F. If it was
really 235F my temp in the shot glass would be ridiculous for such a small boiler but it isnt im measuring temps *
    of high 188-196F.

This has been a terrifying experience at first.
but the results are well worth the anxiety.

I actually bought the materials 4-6mths ago..all ive been doing is reading blogs, watching sights and *
learning...even then just reading the techno babble made me cringe.

I tried to set it up 3x!!!!..each time i pulled out everything and asked myself "you have no idea what your doing"
    "stop this madness"

but i finally said..okay...here it is..just do it.....whatever happens ...happens.

    IT WAS WORTH THE TRIP>.

THNK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP >>AND THANK YOU MR. SYLIU...

IF ANYONE NEEDS HELP WITH A GAGGIA SETUP>>JUST LET ME KNOW>

Im no expert but i can get you going pretty good im guessing.

    CHEERS!!!

Glad you like the results. Im stunned with my Botticelli and PID- beautiful, repeatable results, and for all but the largest groups of people, its ideal for domestic use!

    Yep, sure is Brett [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

If I ever had to go back to a single boiler/dual purpose machine like the Silvia/Mokita/Botticelli, without doubt and immediately, I would convert it over to PID control. It just allows these machines to punch way above their weight and really perform.

    Good one Pravs
    Mal.
