    Saeco Via Venezia Model Difference?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hey,

Looking to buy a second hand VV as my first manual espresso machine. Was wondering if there is any major differences between the older model with black buttons and the newer model with white buttons. Is it worth paying a little more for the newer model? What year did they change?

    Thanks in advance.
    Matt

Just the buttons and badging differences. The old black buttons had a coloured tab in them that physically moved from orange to green when you pressed it.
The new buttons have lights in them instead.

Not sure when they changed, i would suspect around 5-6 years ago. The Via Venezia started production around 12-15 years ago i believe.

Several owners have told me they believe the switches on the old model are better than the new ones as they have had failures with the new ones.
I have both models and would tend to agree with them. Ron

Anything to look out for on second hand units? They look pretty solid and basic from what I've read so far.
