    Sunbeam EM4800

Steam is escaping past the securing screw for the steam nozzle even though the screw is secured into the fitting. Is there supposed to be a washer between the screw and the nozzle? Even with the screw secured, the nozzle is loose against the valve.

    :)

    Thanks Stan

Looks like it was missed at the factory. It lasted this long without it but now it wants to play up.

Do you know what material the washer is made from ?? Copper, fibre or other

My mistake - I just pulled mine apart. The washer was an optical illusion. No washers at all. It is just a tight fit. Check tighten your screw and see what happens - it should be very tight. Sorry for the misinformation :-[
