    Hi Ally,

The general consensus on Delonghi is dont go there....

If it has to be a superauto, look to Jura. Dont expect anything better than an average cup though...

    especially for when guest come
My guests are willing to wait for a great cup of coffee.
Yesterday I tried again to make the best I could for a friend of mine as Im trying to get him off the 4 sugars he normally takes (yes I said 4 ::) )

Anyway, I had a choice of 2 SOs and one blend so picked the one I thought would be the sweetest.
As luck would have it I nailed to milk as well and for the first time he drank it without sugar (my previous best was 1).

You arent going to get that kind of result from a superauto.

I can assure you that the quality of coffee by Delonghi ESAM67000 is brilliant. Using any good quality beans, set on the right grind the crema produced each time is perfect and amazing.
The milk unit is the added bonus. I leave the slide on latte setting - it provide consistant silky smooth frothed milk.
The machine is extremely easy to use - fool proof. Having put up with Saeco & Juras machines this model is in a class of its own -the others are a poor second. I was also very sceptical to start with by my investment has paid off very well.
I found I had to buy a lot of consumables with the others ie filters, cleaning tablets, descaler and found the heat of others luke warm.
My machine is set on low & is hot, so im happy as.
The Jura in particular is a nightmare with all its bits & pieces you have to clean. The milk tube is very unhygenic & goes brittle & green - yuk.
Delonghi has a stainless steel milk delivery system. Simply press the steam clean button when finished before you put back in the fridge. It will only heat the milk you use.
Although you have to descale the Delonghi it was easy to follow the prompts. Just use your own filtered water, descaling every 200 or so coffees.
If you love and appreciate brilliant coffee, I can personally reccomend this model. :)

I will be waiting for the ESAM67001 model because if the current 67000 makes brilliant coffee then just how imaginary fantastic the next improbable model will be.... *:P

Brilliant coffee is not a quantifiable tangible experience on a web forum so bears little relevance to the OP. The other elements of the post such as the milk delivery are relevant and good information. Perhaps so more of this type of info would be useful and even better, a video of your machine in action. *This would be the most powerful medium where you, CLF could show the manual machine fraternity the errors or their/our ways???
