Reprogramming a Rancilio 2 Group DE Model

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi Folks,

I have a 2 group Rancilio Machine (System DE) model and it has the standard volumetric keypad but I cant seem to get it into programming mode. Any ideas how you do it? or is it one of these that you need to pull the top or sides off and flick a toggle switch?

    Thanks

Dont know about the Rancilio but the La Cimbali (and some other brands) are placed into program mode by holding the stop/start button for >10 seconds (water runs from the group during that time)....

You hear an audible beeping, or see a flashing light to let you know you are in program mode.... (and water flow stops).

Then press and hold (press and release on some makes) the button to be programmed for the flow (with PF dosed and tamped as normal)....

At the end of the desired volume either release the button (if you have to hold it to get flow from the group) or press the same button again (if it continues to flow following the quick press)...

When all buttons are programmed correctly, press the stop button to save your settings....

Some machines (La Cimbali) you have to do each group seperately others - you do one group it sets the volume for all groups....

Not sure if this will work for your machine.... but might be worth trying.

    Good Luck!

    Hi CafeMan,
Do you have an email address with 3MB free space?
Ive got the manual in PDF form if you want it.

Thomas from Mocopan sent it to me recently for my S27 and it covers all the S-series, Midi, Tecna, System and System/LE models.
Im pretty sure itll show you how to reprogam your keypad buttons - it looks to be the same as my S27.

PM me your email address if you want to keep it out of public view.

    Cafeman,
    any further news on this?

Did the PDF make it through to you?
And, assuming it did, did the manual help at all?

What is the exact model and version number of your machine? Rancilio has made many different DE's.
