    Carimali Uno gone troppo...

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi froth-heads Im new to this forum.
I have the pleasure of owning two Caramel flavoured Unos. I havent checked out the model numbers, sorry, one has a touch pad and the other a basic lever (better I say). The touch pad one is my home user and today it started going mad! The group starts and stops randomly and without any provocation, I have no experience with these beasts but I would suspect the touch pad (half of which doesnt work anyway) or the relay it controls. Pearls of wisdom gladly accepted.
The other (lever control) ones pressure relief valve drips a little, the gauge, however, reads reads fine @ around 1.2-1.3 bar. Ive pulled the valve to bits and the white plastic washer seems fine. Again assistance gladly appreciated.
    Any links to manuals?
In the interests of energy efficiency has anyone ever insulated the boiler and lines? It is all rather naked in there!
    See you latte

sounds like a touch pad, moisture gets in between the layers on the back causing intermittent switching
you can probably get one from coffee parts,(depending on which model it is) there is at least 3 different touch pads)
otherwise you will need to talk to the importers in concord nsw

the other i guess you are talking about the over pressure(safety) valve on the top of the boiler
try cleaning or lightly sanding the seat, when these are reinstalled you need to reset the pressure setting.

sometimes the best way with these is to replace it with a new one. see coffee parts for this

Well I pulled the touch pad out, the connector was grubby so I cleaned the contacts and all seems well ...so far...
    Uno in remission!
