Replying to myself here. I really only need comments positive or otherwise on the Silvestre. Are they good all round machine etc.We live in an isolated area so reliability is a high prioity as well as brewing capability.

    Hi Damien,

I admittedly have never used this machine, but maybe itd help to tell us what type of application youre using it for. Is it a high output cafe, or an office or...? Maybe what you plan to pair it up with as far as grinder goes, what coffee are you using? I dont think Ive ever seen one of these in the flesh.

    Thanks YeeZa,
We have a 100 seat restaurant open for brekky and dinner. The out put may only be as low as 50 a day however they may all com at once and we want a good product hence the reasonable size and cost. The coffee ,Im informed, won gold at Golden Bean in Brisvegas last year from 170 roasters so should be adequate for our needs even if the win was a one off.
    Cheers damien

    Welcome to CoffeeSnobs "silverbrow".... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Lots of beautiful blends available from the site owner too "silverbrow", including the capacity to develop custom blends to order so might be advantageous to contact Andy and see what the possibilities are. Andys won a few awards for his efforts too at the most recent Golden Bean.... 8-)

    Re: expobar silvestre

    Hi Damien

I have an expobar ruggero and I dont think there would be a lot of diference in the componentry between it and the sylvestre. I used it at a conference today and made 200 coffees, hassle free.

If youve settled on a roaster, then I suggest you talk to them. They should be able to source you a machine at wholesale price.

If I can do it, so can they. ;)
