Presso is pretty flexible; weve taken ours camping in the bush, and
I took it with me on a three week trip to China earlier this year.
Excellent results with a good hand grinder. Also consider an aeropress,
very compact and easy to clean up.

Ill second the AeroPress "hiker", it is capable of making a beautiful cuppa 8-)..... Dont have any experience with the Presso though,

Ill third the aeropress. Id say that for travelling, particularly if you have limited space it might even be a better choice than the presso simply because its so much more compact - as hazbean has pointed out. The aeropress is also significantly cheaper too and the coffee that it makes is very good.

    Hi Hiker,

Zassenhaus Grinder is worth the money for that bit of it. I have "borrowed" my Mum & Dads 45 year old wedding present and it looks just like the current model and does a great job of grinding :) They crop up sometimes on ferralbay and I have seen them on Genovesses web site <------- sponsor.

Just got my Aeropress a week ago and it makes a really nice cup. I maybe "just" prefer Syphon to it for taste but more playing needed but for throw it in the box toughness it is a great bit of kit.

If you like a long black rather than espresso or want to make coffee for a few others then keep an eye out on ferralbay for a Nicro or Duralux vac pot or there are a few other brands in aluminium or S/Steel. I am waiting on one for my camping kit at present (4th syphon in the collection ::) )
