Both of these are capable of pulling a good shot - you may be surprised to discover that you arent the only person who has come here trying to find the answer to this (or at least a very similar) question.

    Ill suggest two things -
    1. Allow budget for a grinder to go with the machine you choose
    2. Have a read of the Coffee Equipment forum.

Welcome to Coffeesnobs, and hold on for the ride :)

Sorry DVD... But it is like saying which is better Holden or Ford ?

It depends on what you want out of the system Vs need from the system...

Asking if a Holden or Ford is better and then finding out your intending to drive across Africa... And that your wanting to use a bio fuel and not carry a spare tire...

Please read many of the posts in this http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?board=BrewMid topic.

It may seem like a bit of work, but in the end you will be able to make an informed decision. Any thing else will see question why you bought what you did and potentialy cast some of the blame back to the person who said A is better than B..

PS. Welcome to CS... Were one big happy family... Love to challenge the idea, not the person....

    Welcome DVD..... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Within this price range, dont forget the Nemox Fenice type of machine. Can be found under a number of different names but one of our Site Sponsors..... "(no free plug here)" stocks the Nemox branded units and they are to be highly recommended, with performance levels very close to that of a Silvia for less than 70% of the cost. Im not referring to the "Junior" machines listed on that page by the way... http://coffeemachine.com.au/espresso...8f4f4c9215cd80

    Welcome DVD
It is wiser of me to ask some questions
Your intended use of the machine
    Your budget including a grinder

One needs to know answers to the above questions as you may be short selling yourself if you dont buy what you can afford as it is false economy.

Out of those Id pick the Gaggia. Wouldnt even consider the Nespresso - that seems to be one of those Nespresso capsule type machine, so rule that one out. The Sunbeam apparently works very well, while it works that is.

If I were a cynic DVD, I might think you started this thread just so you could get your post count up to sell the 6910. :-?

I used to be in the Ford camp but although I can never bring myself to support Holden, I no longer defend Ford.
