    Newbie with a SB Em6910

    Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Id guess the beans they gave you are stale and would need a finer grind than fresh beans.

    When you get fresh beans you are going to have to readjust.

    I will say that the beans were not too bad and tha pack was cool (not cold) when they brought it out so may have been stored in a wine fridge. I got some beans from Merlo (which is as fresh roasted) and didnt have to adjust too much from previous but even then its slightly different for each of their blends too. All part of the challenge ;)
