    Naked/Bottomless Portafilter for Silvia

I would debate the use of a naked portafilter for a short time. It is very useful to check to see how changes in your routine change the pour. I have had one for months now and still use it regularly.

Re: Wanted: Naked/Bottomless Portafilter for Silvia

I use mine daily as Im only making coffee for myself. Makes it a lot easier to tell if Ive made a mistake, and then I dont need to waste more time and milk finishing off a latte that I wont enjoy. Apart from that, it looks cool :) if you want it on the cheap, Id try to find a regular silvia portafilter and chop it, as I dont think youll find anyone wanting to part with theirs for cheap. unless you can borrow it...

Interesting, I was under the impression it was a tool that was generally retired after a time...

Might need to fork out the hard earned after all.

Ditto for me (on my VBM).

The naked group handle helped me a great deal in getting the dose/distribute/tamp right but I still use it for preparing a single coffee rather than use the double spouted group handle.

I usually keep a blind filter in it and use it for backflushing as needed.

I know of at least one cafe in Sydney that uses nothing but naked Portafilters.
