    Gaggia Classic question

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi I recently aquired a second hand Gaggia Classic.

As it was kinda old I took off the shower screen to clean it and then put some descaler through it.

My question is - there are 4 holes under the shower screen but water only comes out of 1.
Is this right or are the other 3 blocked?

Also, can I remove this second piece to unblock it? I have tried but it seems irremovable.

    Thanks

yep the other 3 will be blocked..get an Allen key (might be 4 mm) and remove the 2 Allen screws that hold that 4 hole manifold onto the group head..easy done and youll be able to do a much more thorough clean

Yeah I have removed the 2 screws but it still is really tight, I think it must be really gummed up. So I guess if I give it a bit of force it should come off and not break any other part?

    Re: Gaggia Classic question

mine was a little stuck too...but with a small amount of force it will come away...but as AM says...at your own risk...from memory I simply put a smaller Allen key into on of the holes and levered it ..it popped away from the group without any real trouble...
